Cryogenic Dipstick – Precision Liquid Level Detection

Our Cryogenic Dip Stick is a precision-engineered platform for low-temperature electrical, materials, and device characterization. Designed for demanding research and industrial environments, the system delivers stable, repeatable thermal performance from liquid nitrogen temperatures through controlled variable-temperature operation above ambient.

Built around a modular and configurable architecture, the Cryo Nano Labs LN₂ insert integrates a high-purity OFHC copper cold stage, vacuum-rated electrical feedthroughs, and embedded temperature sensing and heating. The design ensures excellent thermal uniformity, electrical integrity, and long-term reliability in cryogenic and high-vacuum experimental setups.

Optimized for seamless integration into cryostats, vacuum chambers, and custom research systems, the insert supports applications across condensed matter physics, superconductivity, semiconductor testing, and advanced materials research.

Key Capabilities

  • Wide operating temperature range from 77 K to 325 K, expandable from ~70 K up to ~358 K depending on configuration

  • Liquid nitrogen cooling via direct LN₂ dip, optional LN₂ flow channels, or cold-finger mounting

  • High thermal conductivity cold stage manufactured from oxygen-free high-conductivity (OFHC) copper for rapid equilibration and minimal temperature gradients

  • Closed-loop temperature control using integrated PT1000 RTD sensors positioned near the sample and embedded ceramic heaters

  • High-voltage and signal integrity support, suitable for mixed power, sensor, thermocouple, and test signals in vacuum environments

  • High-vacuum compatible construction, incorporating radiation shielding to minimise thermal losses

  • Modular mechanical interfaces, supporting ISO-KF, CF (Conflat), and custom flange patterns for easy system integration

Built to Order — Engineered to Specification

CRYONANO Labs does not offer cryogenic inserts as off-the-shelf

catalogue products. Each LN₂ insert is custom engineered to match the customer’s mechanical, thermal, electrical, and vacuum interface requirements. This approach ensures optimal experimental performance, seamless integration, and long-term operational reliability.

Backed by in-house design, manufacturing, and testing capabilities, CRYONANO Labs maintains full ownership of the product lifecycle—from concept and validation to delivery and long-term support..
